COCKTAILS

RYE WHISKEY

Manhattan

2 oz. Rye Whiskey

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

2 Dashes Bitters

-Stir Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, and Bitters (angostura or equivalent, we use Bitter Girl Morning Wood Bitters) in glass over ice. Strain into another glass. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

Sazerac

2 oz. Rye Whiskey

1 tsp. Sugar

2 Dashes Bitters

Dash of absinthe

-Wash the inside of a glass with absinthe and set aside. Into another glass: muddle sugar with a dash of water and bitters (Peychaud’s is classic, we use Bitter Girl Rose Bitters).  Pour Whiskey into the glass with the muddled sugar and stir over ice. Strain into the absinthe washed glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.

 

Paper Plane

1 oz. Rye Whiskey

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1 oz. Campari-like Aperitivo

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

-Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into another glass.

Petaluma Boulevardier

1 oz. Rye Whiskey

1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz. Campari-like Aperitivo

1/2 oz. Madeira

2 Dashes Bitters

-Stir Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Aperitivo, Madeira, and Bitters (we use Bitter Girl Rose Bitters) in glass over ice. Strain into another glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.

Sidecar

1.5 oz. Rye Whiskey

3/4 oz. Orange Liquer

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Bitters

Sugar

-Combine Rye Whiskey, Orange Liquer, Lemon Juice, and Bitters (we use Bitter Girl Batch One Bitters) into cocktail shaker with ice. Run the spent lemon along lip of glass and dip into sugar – creating a sugar rim on the glass. Shake spirits and strain into sugar rimmed glass.

 

Whiskey Sour Mimosa

1 oz. Rye Whiskey

1/2 oz. Orange Liquer

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Bitters

1 tsp. Sugar

Sparkling Wine to Float

-Add Rye Whiskey, Orange Liquer, Lemon Juice, Bitters (we use Bitter Girl Pear Jordan Bitters), and Sugar into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glass. Pour enough sparkling wine over cocktail to fill and float.

ABSINTHE

Absinthe Minded

1.5 oz. Absinthe

Ice Water

-The classic way to enjoy absinthe. Slowly drip and mix ice water into a glass of absinthe until the absinthe changes color into a milky white.

Silver Slipper

1/2 oz. Absinthe

1/2 oz. Orange Liquer

1 Dash Bitter Girl Batch One Bitters

1 Dash Bitter Girl Pear Jordan Bitters

Sparkling Wine

Chocolate Raspberry Sugar

-Rim a glass with chocolate raspberry sugar. Put Absinthe, Orange Liquer, and Bitters into the glass, and fill with cold sparkling wine to taste.

 

Saints & Sinners

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz. Orange Liquer

1/2 oz. Absinthe

1 Dash Bitter Girl Bath One Bitters

-Stir Sweet Vermouth, Orange Liquer, and Bitters in glass over ice. Using the back of the bar spoon, slowly pour in absinthe on the top of the cocktail (it should form a layer of white on the top). Garnish with a lemon peel.

Drunken Crow

1.5 oz. Absinthe

1 Dash Bitter Girl Morning Wood Bitters

-Not for the faint of heart! Drop bitters into a small glass of absinthe and enjoy!

The Drop

1 oz. Absinthe

1/2 oz. Orange Liquer

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

1 tsp. sugar

-Rim a glass with sugar. Put Absinthe, Orange Liquer, Lemon Juice, and Sugar into cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into the rimmed glass.

 

MOONSHINE

Gentleman Bootlegger

1 oz. Moonshine

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1 oz. Campari-like Aperitivo

-Stir all ingredients in a glass over ice. Strain into another glass, garnish with lemon peel.

Backwoods Zombie

1 oz. Moonshine

1 oz. Sweet White Vermouth

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Bitter Girl Pear Jordan Bitters

1 Dash Absinthe

-Put all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glass. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

 

Blushing Bride

1 oz. Moonshine

1/2 oz. Orange Liquer

1/2 oz. Campari-like Aperitivo

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Bitter Girl Pear Jordan Bitters

-Put all ingredients into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into glass. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

Foghorn

1.5 oz. Moonshine

Ginger Beer

Lime

-Mix moonshine over ice. Fill glass with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Moonshine Margarita

1 oz. Moonshine

1 oz. Orange Liquer

1 Whole Lime

Brown Sugar

-Rim a glass with brown sugar. Put Moonshine, Orange Liquer, and the juice of 1 whole lime into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into rimmed glass.

 

Moonrise

1 oz. Moonshine

1/2 oz. Orange Liquer

1 Whole Orange

Chocolate Raspberry Sugar

1/4 oz. Brandied Cherry Syrup

-Rim a glass with Chocolate Raspberry Sugar. Put moonshine, orange liquer, and the juice of 1 Whole Orange into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into rimmed glass. Pour in brandied cherry syrup to create a sunrise effect.

APPLE BRANDY

Sour Apple

1.5 oz. Apple Brandy

1/2 oz. Orange Juice

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Orange Bitters (We use Bitter Girl Batch One Bitters)

1/4 oz. Maple Syrup

Dash of Nutmeg

-Put all ingredients into cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into glass. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

SoCo Vieux Carre

1 oz. Apple Brandy

1 oz. Rye Whiskey

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

1 oz. Americano (sweet white vermouth)

1 Dash Absinthe

2 Dashes Bitter Girl Pear Bitters

-Stir all ingredients in glass over ice. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon peel.

 

Old Fashioned Apple Pie

1.5 oz Apple Brandy

1.5 oz Madeira

1/4 oz. Maple Syrup

2 Dashes Orange Bitters (Bitter Girl Batch One)

-Mix ingredients in glass with ice. Garnish with a lemon peel and serve.
